A half-day guided tour
designed to be your first encounter with the old town of Marrakech. Its objective is to provide geographical and historical landmarks. Your guide will give you a brief overview of the history of Marrakech, including its founding and nearly 1,000 years of history.
The visit begins at the Medersa Ben Youssef (Quranic school) in the heart of the medina. You will then cross the souks. Your guide will explain their organization and show you where the main trades are located. You will then arrive at Jemaa el Fna square, the beating heart of the city, where there is extraordinary spontaneous activity almost 24 hours a day: merchants, storytellers, acrobats, snake charmers, fortune tellers, sorcerers, restaurants, orange trees. juice stands, and more. So much so that UNESCO designated the square as a World Heritage Site.
Your visit will end at the foot of the Koutoubia minaret, a masterpiece of 12th century architects and a true symbol of Marrakech recently restored.
